Subject: Public Record of Communications, Alleged Harassment, Safety Concerns, and Anticipated Legal Action

I am placing the contents of communications sent earlier today into the public domain to ensure there is no confusion, misrepresentation, or misinterpretation of my words or intent. This notice is a matter of public record concerning the conduct, actions, and ongoing issues connected to the Family Dollar location at 2346 E. 79th St. #50, Chicago, IL 60649, and those believed to be acting in coordination with it.

Over the course of five separate visits to the above Family Dollar store, I have experienced what I believe to be illegal, improper, and targeted conduct from store staff and associated parties. This behavior escalated following incidents on October 13, 2025, and has led to legitimate fears for my safety and that of my wife.

I have reason to believe that my residential address was shared without authorization, resulting in stalking behavior and potential attempts to cause harm. I also allege that I was previously assaulted — an attack I believe was instigated at the request of Peter and Jacqueline Holsten — and that subsequent surveillance was directed toward my residence.

For the record:

  • I do not own a firearm, have never owned a firearm, and have no intention of responding to these matters with violence.

  • I obtained a firearm license only out of concern for my safety, as advised by my mother, but I do not possess any weapons.

  • I will pursue all remedies and responses through lawful and judicial channels, not through any unlawful means.

The fear and consequences some may now perceive are not threats from me, but, as I firmly believe, the unfolding of divine justice. Despite the harassment, deception, and misconduct directed toward me and my wife, I extend forgiveness and pray for mercy upon all involved.

This notice also serves as a declaration that I believe the ownership and/or operation of the Family Dollar store by NOVOGRODER CO FD 6542 may be in serious legal jeopardy due to repeated unlawful actions by its agents, tenants, or employees. Whether this results in forfeiture of the franchise or other legal consequences will be determined through due legal process.

This is not a threat but a public record documenting harassment, unlawful behavior, and my unwavering commitment to lawful redress.

This is my final public statement on this matter before legal proceedings and other remedies commence.

John Alan Legette
