📢 ALBUM ANNOUNCEMENT: BLESSED - J.A.L.M.-MUSIC 63rd Studio Album
Coming September 4, 2026
I'm thrilled to announce the upcoming release of my 63rd studio album, BLESSED—a bold, uncompromising, 14-track project that confronts the casual misuse of the word "blessed" and reveals the biblical qualifications that Scripture demands for those who claim this sacred status.
About the Album:
In a culture where "blessed" has become a hashtag for material comfort, social status, and casual self-declaration, BLESSED issues a prophetic challenge: You're not blessed until Yahuah says you're blessed.
Drawing from approximately fourteen instances in Scripture where the phrase "blessed is the man" appears—from Psalm 1:1 to James 1:12—this album explores what it truly means to be blessed according to Yahuah's Word, not according to social media, prosperity preaching, or cultural Christianity.
As Yahshar'el (a descendant of Abraham's bloodline), I approach this work from a covenant perspective—honoring the Hebraic foundation of our faith and utilizing the sacred names of Yahuah, Yahshua, and Elohim throughout. BLESSED bridges ancient biblical truth with contemporary sound, merging Gospel Neo-Soul's emotional depth with Afro-Cuban rhythmic celebration to create a musical landscape that is both worshipful and convicting, contemplative and confrontational.
This is music that challenges your definition of blessing while leading you into authentic worship. This is theology set to rhythm that demands examination and response.
The Journey:
The album takes listeners on a progressive journey through fourteen carefully crafted tracks, each unpacking a specific biblical qualification for being blessed:
1. Ashrey (Intro) — Opening with the Hebrew word for "blessed," establishing the foundation
2. Not By Your Words — Confronting self-declared blessing; separation from ungodly counsel (Psalm 1:1)
3. The One Yahuah Chooses — Celebrating sovereign election and divine choosing (Psalm 65:4)
4. No Iniquity Counted — Forgiveness and covering through Messiah's blood (Psalm 32:1-2, Romans 4:8)
5. Trust Fall — Radical dependence on Yahuah alone, not human strength (Psalm 34:8, 40:4, 84:12, Jeremiah 17:7)
6. Set Apart (Interlude) — Spoken word on consecration, holiness, and being kadosh
7. Strength in Tzion — Supernatural strength for the spiritual journey (Psalm 84:5-7)
8. The Discipline of Love — Blessing through divine correction and instruction (Psalm 94:12, Hebrews 12:5-11)
9. Fear & Delight — Reverent worship combined with joy in Torah observance (Psalm 112:1)
10. Covenant Keeper — Contrasting cursed trust in man vs. blessed trust in Yahuah (Jeremiah 17:5-8)
11. Shema (Hear Me) — Listening for Wisdom's voice, Yahshua as living Word (Proverbs 8:34-35)
12. Refined by Fire — Endurance through trials leading to the crown of life (James 1:12)
13. The Qualification — Summative challenge examining if we meet biblical standards
14. Blessed (Benediction & Reprise) — Weaving together all themes with the Aaronic blessing (Numbers 6:24-26)
Each track reveals not just what disqualifies us from blessing, but what qualifies us through covenant relationship with Yahuah through Yahshua HaMashiach—grace that empowers obedience, not cheap grace that excuses compromise.
The Sound:
BLESSED showcases a sophisticated blend of:
• Gospel Neo-Soul: Jazz-influenced harmonies, Rhodes electric piano, Hammond B3 organ, smooth bass lines, and layered vocals
• Afro-Cuban rhythms: Congas, timbales, bongos, claves, and cowbell creating infectious, celebratory grooves
• Latin jazz influences: Mambo-style horn arrangements (trumpets, trombones, saxophones)
• Contemporary production: String sections, acoustic and electric guitars, dynamic sound design
• Worship atmosphere: From intimate acoustic ballads to explosive Gospel anthems
The result is music that honors tradition while speaking a contemporary language—ancient covenant truth with modern expression, celebrating both the African diaspora's musical heritage and its reconnection to Hebrew roots.
The Message:
At its core, BLESSED confronts the prosperity gospel lie that blessing equals comfort, success, and material abundance. Scripture reveals a radically different picture:
Blessed is the man who:
-
Walks NOT in ungodly counsel (Psalm 1:1)
-
Is chosen and caused to approach Yahuah (Psalm 65:4)
-
Has his iniquity covered by Messiah's blood (Psalm 32:1-2)
-
Trusts in Yahuah, not in human strength (Jeremiah 17:7)
-
Finds supernatural strength in Yahuah (Psalm 84:5)
-
Receives divine discipline and instruction (Psalm 94:12)
-
Fears Yahuah and delights in His commandments (Psalm 112:1)
-
Hears Wisdom's voice and waits at her gates (Proverbs 8:34)
-
Endures temptation and trials (James 1:12)
This album refuses to accept the status quo of:
-
Casual self-declared blessing without biblical lifestyle
-
Claiming promises without meeting conditions
-
Wanting the crown without carrying the cross
-
Social media spirituality that's all image, no substance
-
Prosperity preaching that ignores persecution, testing, and refinement
Instead, BLESSED calls believers to:
-
✅ Examine their lives by Scripture's standards, not culture's
-
✅ Separate from ungodly influence and compromise
-
✅ Trust Yahuah completely, especially when it's difficult
-
✅ Receive divine correction as evidence of sonship
-
✅ Delight in Torah as the beautiful instruction of a loving Father
-
✅ Endure trials knowing they produce the crown of life
-
✅ Be truly blessed by Yahuah's declaration, not human opinion
Covenant Identity:
As Yahshar'el (a descendant of Abraham's bloodline), I create from a place of covenant identity and understanding. This album honors the Hebraic foundation of our faith, recognizing that:
• Yahuah is the covenant Elohim of Avraham, Yitschaq, and Ya'akov • Yahshua is the promised Messiah of Yahshar'el, the living Torah • The Torah (instructions) of Yahuah are eternal, delightful, and relevant • We are called to be a set-apart people (am kadosh) • Covenant blessing requires biblical qualification, not casual claiming
Throughout the album, I consistently use the sacred names revealed in Scripture: • Yahuah — The covenant name of the Father • Yahshua — The Hebrew name of the Messiah • Elohim — Mighty One/God
This isn't merely linguistic preference but recognition of covenant identity—honoring the names by which the Elohim of Yahshar'el revealed Himself and through which relationship is established.
Hebrew phrases are woven throughout—Ashrey (blessed), Tzion (Zion), Shema (hear), Kadosh (holy), Torah (instruction)—as both worship expressions and teaching moments, inviting listeners into the beauty and depth of covenant language that has always been part of our heritage.
Why "BLESSED"?
The title captures both the problem and the solution:
The Problem: Our generation has cheapened the word "blessed." We apply it to everything from coffee to careers, from comfort to convenience. We've made it a casual expression divorced from its biblical meaning, a self-congratulatory label requiring no divine confirmation or scriptural qualification.
The Solution: Ashrey (אַשְׁרֵי)—the Hebrew word translated "blessed"—appears throughout Scripture with specific, non-negotiable requirements. Yahuah defines who is blessed, not us. His Word establishes the qualifications, and His Spirit empowers us to meet them through Yahshua HaMashiach.
This is album #63 in my discography, but the question is timeless and urgent: Are you blessed by Yahuah's standards, or just by your own declaration?

The Challenge:
Before you listen to a single track, I want to ask you the questions this album poses:
Are you blessed by biblical standards?
• Do you walk away from ungodly counsel, or do you compromise? • Has Yahuah chosen you and caused you to approach Him? • Is your trust in Yahuah alone, or in human systems and strength? • Do you fear Yahuah with reverence while delighting in His Torah? • Do you receive divine correction as evidence of His love? • Are you enduring trials, knowing they produce the crown of life? • Have you been listening for Wisdom's voice, or just your own?
Can you honestly say:
-
"Blessed is the man who walks not in ungodly counsel" — and that man is me?
-
"Blessed is the man whose strength is in Yahuah" — and that's my testimony?
-
"Blessed is the man that endures temptation" — and I'm still standing?
