The Absurdity of Doing Evil to Produce Good Post #3 – Freedom Is Not a License for the Flesh
Freedom is one of Yahuah’s greatest gifts — but like all holy gifts, it can be twisted and abused. Many use the language of liberty as a cloak for sin, mistaking deliverance from bondage as permission to return to it. Yet Scripture cuts through this deception with clarity and power:
“For you, brothers, were called to freedom; but do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh. Rather, serve one another in love.” — Galatians 5:13
“Live in freedom, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God.” — 1 Peter 2:16
“For certain men have crept in unnoticed… ungodly ones… who turn the grace of our God into a license for immorality.” — Jude 1:4
True freedom is not the power to sin without consequence — it is the power to refuse sin and walk in obedience. Grace is not permission to indulge the flesh; it is empowerment to crucify it. Those who twist grace into a shield for rebellion turn a sacred gift into a tool of destruction.
Yahuah calls His people to use freedom not as a platform for selfishness but as a means to love, serve, and glorify Him. The moment freedom is hijacked to justify darkness, it ceases to be freedom and becomes another form of bondage.
Let us reject the lie that liberty means lawlessness. Freedom in Yahshua is not the right to do whatever we want — it is the strength to do what is right.
🔥 Reflection: Are you using your freedom to serve the flesh or to serve Yahuah? Does grace empower you to obey — or have you turned it into a shield for rebellion?
