The Absurdity of Doing Evil to Produce Good Post #5 – Turning Grace Into a License for Sin

Scripture:

“For certain men have crept in among you unnoticed—ungodly ones who were designated long ago for condemnation. They turn the grace of our God into a license for immorality, and they deny our only Master and Lord, Yahshua HaMashiach.” — Jude 1:4

There is perhaps no greater deception than twisting the precious gift of Yahuah’s grace into permission to rebel against Him. Grace was never meant to excuse sin — it was given to empower us to overcome it. Yet from the first century until now, false teachers have crept into the midst of Yah’s people, preaching a message that sounds merciful but leads many into bondage: “It’s okay. You’re under grace. Do as you please.”

But Scripture thunders the opposite. Grace teaches us to renounce ungodliness and live sober, righteous, and holy lives in this present age (Titus 2:11–12). It calls us out of darkness — not so we can wander back into it, but so we can walk as new creations. To use grace as an excuse to sin is to trample the blood of Messiah underfoot and deny the very One who bought us with His life.

This lie is especially dangerous because it cloaks rebellion in the language of freedom. But freedom without obedience is not liberty — it is lawlessness. And Yahshua did not die to make us comfortable in our sin; He came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8) and restore us to righteousness.

Let us, therefore, reject every message that turns grace into license. Let us honor the mercy that saved us by living lives that please the One who gave it. For grace is not a free pass to sin — it is the divine power to walk in victory over it.
